His funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Bethlehem Church in Elbow Lake. There will be a visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at Pelican Lake Cemetery in Ashby, Minnesota.
Stacy Andrew Waye was born on September 14, 1976, in Elbow Lake, Minnesota, to Terry and Margaret (Bjorklund) Waye. He was a 1995 graduate of West Central Area Schools. After high school, Stacy furthered his education at Alexandria Tech. He worked in the maintenance department at Shoremaster for 20+ years. He earned employee of the year while at Shoremaster. Later and most recently, he worked at Tipsinah Mounds Campground, where he loved to mow and keep the facilities spotless. He loved his jobs and took great pride in his work. He was complimented many times for the meticulous job he did.
Stacy was passionate about music, sports, and his dogs. You could always find Stacy in one of his many sports jerseys and caps. The Twins, Timberwolves, and Green Bay Packers were among his favorites. He knew all the statistics of his favorite teams and players. Every year he counted down the days until Baseballs Spring Training started and looked forward to opening day. While in high school, Stacy was the student manager of the basketball team. A role he loved and where he met many longtime friends. He also played summer softball and Sunday night basketball.
Stacy had a fondness for shelties having owned 3- Kirby (Puckett), Dierks (Bentley), and Kobe (Bryant).
Stacy and his family attended many concerts throughout the years. There were at least 100 events where he was able to meet the artist. At one concert he told Dierks Bentley that he named his sheltie Dierks after him. At a later event, Stacy was at a meet and greet with Dierks Bentley and the artist remembered Stacy and his furry friend.
Stacy is survived by his parents, Terry and Margaret; sisters, Teriann (Dion) Harste and Melanie (Bill) Grams; nephews, Alex (Liza) Harste, Cole Harste; niece, Emily Harste; and his beloved dog, Kobe.
