Pamela Boeddeker

November 13, 1966 — July 17, 2009

Pamela Boeddeker, 42, rural Barrett, died Friday, July 17, 2009, at her home. Funeral services for Pamela Boeddeker will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 22, at the Bethlehem/West Elbow Lake Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake with the Rev. Weston Moir officiating. Burial will be in the Ness Cemetery, Elbow Lake. Friends may call at the Bethlehem/West Elbow Lake Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake on Tuesday beginning at 4pm, with a prayer service to begin at 6. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Pam was born November 13, 1966, in Boise, Idaho, to Ronald and Cheryl (Pederson) Hines. She was raised in Boise and graduated from Borah High School in 1985. Pam continued her education at Pacific Lutheran University from 1985-1987, Northern Arizona University in 1987, and returned to Boise State University in 1988.

On November 28, 1988, Pam was married to Brian Boeddeker in Mountain Home, Idaho, where they lived for two years. In the following years, Pam and Brian lived in various locations where she provided family day care and worked as a waitress before the family moved to Elbow Lake in 1999. In 2006, she earned her degree as a registered nurse and was employed with the ELEAH Medical Center in the home health care division. Becoming licensed as a registered nurse was one of Pam's greatest accomplishments, second only to raising her children, Megan and Jacob. Pam was a loving parent and actively supported Megan and Jacob's activities and loved being with her family. Time spent around a bonfire with family and friends, gardening, being outdoors - all were a source of happiness for Pam. Pam's nurturing presence and ability to put people at ease brought joy and laughter to her home health care clients, as well as the many friends that Megan and Jake brought home. Pam was also an important presence in the Bethlehem youth group, where she enjoyed supporting her children and their friends. Pam's husband Brian will sorely miss his bride of 21 years. Where one was, so too was the other.

Survivors include her husband Brian and children Megan (Micah Rasmussen) and Jacob, all of Barrett; her father, Ron Hines of McCall, ID; sisters Linda (Jon) Garbarino of San Jose, CA, Holly (Kurt) Alderman of Boise and Heather (Sean) Spero of Boise, and brother Scott (Rachel) Hines of San Francisco, CA; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Tim and Mary Lou Boeddeker of Elbow Lake; sister-in-law Samantha (Darin) Olson of Barrett and brother-in-law Heath Boeddeker of Elbow Lake; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her mother Cheryl Hines, step-mother Pauline Hines, her grandparents, and good friend Lowell Smith. Memorials can be made in Pam's name to the Bethlehem/West Elbow Lake Church, 11 2nd Avenue SE, PO Box 66, Elbow Lake, MN 56531-0066
