Mary Hoffmann

Mary Hoffmann, 75 of Farwell, died Monday, June 12, 2023, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Mary Katherine (Gullickson) Hoffmann was born on May 15, 1948, in Glenwood, Minnesota the daughter of Walter and Katherine Gullickson.

She attended school in Starbuck and graduated from Alexandria Technical School with a secretarial degree.

Mary was united in marriage to Jerome on July 8, 1967, in Glenwood at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. They farmed together in rural Starbuck up until 2006, at which they moved off their home place and settled near Farwell, MN. Mary was very active in the entire farm operation, milking cows and bailing hay in the John Deer 4440. She was an active member of the Our Lady of the Runestone Catholic Church, teaching catechism. She dedicated herself to her family by providing meals day in through day out. Her greatest pride was providing lunches to whoever came to the farm. To this day anyone who knows her knows that they were always welcome to eat at her table. Mary also enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, and making so many delicious baked goods. As her children married and had kids, she enjoyed a full-time job watching her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome, sister Janet, three sons, Mike (Bonnie) Hoffmann of Starbuck- Ashley (Brad) Becker, Amanda (Shawn McTighe) Hoffmann, Katelyn (Tom) Haarstick, Rebecca Layman. Paul (Melissa) Hoffmann of Starbuck- Nathanial (Megan) Hoffmann, Riley (Brooke Deters) Hoffmann. Bob (Shelley Svec) Hoffmann of Starbuck- Ashely (CJ) White, Alecia (Jeff) Miller. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren- Logan, Ellie, Ezra, Leo Becker. Kenna Jo, Sophia, Tyler McTighe. Peyton, Danica Harrstick. McKenzie Layman. Addison, Hadley Hoffmann. Aaliyah, CeCe, Malachi White. Maya, Jackson, Carter Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Katherine Gullickson; sister Sharron and brother-in-law Ben; brother-in-law Mac, and many aunts and uncles.

Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Monday, June 19, 2023, at Our Lady of the Runestone Catholic Church, Kensington

Visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Our Lady of the Runestone Catholic Church and resuming one hour prior to the service on Monday.
