Larry Stamness

Larry Dean Stamness, the son of Gerald and Isola (Nordquist) Stamness, was born September 1, 1964, in Alexandria, Minnesota. He was baptized on October 4, 1964, and confirmed on May 4, 1970, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Barrett, Minnesota.

He graduated from Barrett High School on May 27, 1983, and graduated from the Alexandria Technical College on May 6, 1985, as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on equipment, and farm related projects. He always knew what crop was being harvested and what the weather was like everywhere. In 1986, he became an over the road truck driver in addition to farming.

Larry is survived by his mother Isola Stamness-Smith of Hoffman, Minnesota; sister Lisa (Troy) Gilbertson of Moorhead, Minnesota; nieces Carly Jo and Alexis Joy, and nephew Tanner; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Stamness, and grandparents Harold and Agnes Stamness and Merlin and Doris Nordquist.

A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
