Judith “JT” Tersteeg, 81 of Elbow Lake, died Monday, July 4, 2022, at the Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, MN.
JT was born June 18, 1941, in St. Paul, Minnesota to William "Bud" and Gertrude (Berg) Marshall. She grew up in St. Paul and attended an all-girl school. After she graduated from high school, she worked in the Twin Cities with Web Publishing and with an insurance agency, and also did secretarial work.
On December 2, 1989, she was united in marriage to Wally Tersteeg at Bird Island, Minnesota. The couple farmed and made their home in rural Olivia, Minnesota. They then moved to Long Lake, South Dakota, then they moved to Wendell, MN and 2013, to Elbow Lake. Judy worked at Dean’s Super Value where you didn’t get out of her checkout line unless you smiled!
Judy enjoyed knitting, working on the artwork at Grant County Historical Society, sewing, caligraphy, Dot Art, and making jewelry. Judy was a people person and enjoyed taking the time to have a visit.
She is survived by her husband, Wally Tersteeg of Elbow Lake, and four children, Scott (Wendy) Braski, Martin (Brecken) Armstrong, William (Gabby) Braski and Donna Ryan; seven grandchildren Kelsey (Jake) Spehar, Nathan (Meaghan) Braski, Thomas (girlfriend Brooke) Braski, Marina Rubio, Seth Kubesh, Shane Kubesh and Gwyneth Armstrong; two great-grandchildren, Margo & Vera Spehar; brothers, Bob Marshall, William Marshall and David Marshall. JT is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Donna Geisen.
A Public Visitation will be held at Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Elbow Lake on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM for JT.
Burial will be at Union Cemetery following the Visitation.
