Joan Koser

Joan Koser, 87, of Hoffman passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 at The Hoffman Senior Living Center.

Joan Phyllis Koser was born on February 2, 1935, in Ida Township, Douglas County, to Arthur & Lydia (Timm) Gease. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garfield. When Joan was ten years old, her father, Arthur passed away. She attended St. John's Parochial School through the seventh grade.  Joan Graduated from Alexandria High School in 1953.

On February 4, 1956, Joan was united in marriage to Rodney Koser at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Together, they began farming near Herman, Minnesota. Rodney, her husband of 58 years, passed away on February 19, 2014.

Joan was employed as a bookkeeper at the Alexandria Public Schools, Morris Coop Association and the Herman-Norcross Community School.

Survivors include her son, Darren Koser, and a host of friends.

There will be a Private Family Service at a later date for Joan Koser.
