Janet Rosin, 66 of Elbow Lake, died July 10, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Janet Ruth was born on June 29, 1955, in Alexandria, Minnesota, the daughter of Harold and Ione (Hagen) Walberg. She was baptized and confirmed at Calvary Covenant Church in Evansville, MN and graduated from the Evansville High School in 1973.

On June 22, 1974, she married Gregory Rosin at Christ Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake. The family moved to Glenwood, MN, where they farmed and raised their family. After their fourth child she decided to go back to nursing school. She graduated from Alexandria Technical College in 1986 with her degree in Practical Nursing. In 1986, the family moved to Big Lake, Minnesota where she accepted the position as Dialysis Nurse for Hennepin County Faculty at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. This later became DaVita Dialysis where she worked traveling to various dialysis units throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. While at DaVita she also taught new dialysis nurse’s curriculum and policy.

In 1989, the family moved back to Elbow Lake where Janet worked as a traveling nurse. Janet retired from DaVita in 2020 and accepted a position at Maplewood Manor in Elbow Lake where she worked until she was diagnosed with cancer on December 3, 2020.

Janet loved to quilt, play games like scrabble and whist, she enjoyed history and reading romance novels and at the age of 49 took up motorcycles with her husband, Greg. She was an excellent cook, and everyone was welcome at her table. Janet would say of all her life accomplishments she was most proud of her family. Janet was loved by all and will be missed by all who knew her.

Janet is survived by her husband, Greg of Elbow Lake; children Teena (Jeff Anderson) Matson of Albertville, MN, Kendra (Nate) Stark of Elbow Lake, Shawn Rosin of Detroit Lakes, MN, Brittany Lepak of Alexandria, MN and two special daughters, Maggie (Eddie) LaFond of Melby, MN, and Alicen Johnson of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Crystal (Blair)  Herman, Nick Frobuccino, Beau Fabian, Kaleigh Anderson, Morgan Stark, Cole Anderson, Brayden Stark, Athena Levie, Lucy Lepak, Eden Rosin and Phaedrus LaFond; great-grandchildren, Gianna Herman, Trent Herman, Sofia Frobuccino, and Gabriella Frobuccino;  siblings, Pearl (Forrest) Dingmann of Motley, LaVerne (Karen) Walberg of Clitheral, Lucille Zelazny of Plymouth, Wesley (Judy Feigh) Walberg of Egan, DiAnn (Kurt) Brown of Park Falls, WI, Merle (Sharon) Walberg of Evansville, Doyle Walberg of Brandon and special brother, Jack (Peggy) Sieben of Mission Hill, SD.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ione Walberg; brother, Harlan Walberg; son-in-law, Matthew Lepak; brothers-in-law, Maynard Olson and Robert Zelazny; sister-in-law, Diana Walberg and nieces, Teresa Zelazny and Erin Walberg.

Visitation: 2-4 PM Sunday, at Christ Lutheran Church, Elbow Lake with a 3:30 PM Prayer Service. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Monday, July 19, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church
