Gail Coleman

Gail Coleman, 74, of Elbow Lake, MN, died on Thursday, February 18, 2016, surrounded by family in Mesa, AZ. Gail was born on January 25, 1942, in Pipestone, MN, the daughter of Alda and Marian Ripley. She graduated from high school in 1960. Gail completed college and worked as a lab technician in Elbow Lake where she met her husband, Gerald Coleman. Gail was active in the family farm, church and various clubs. She was a member of United Lutheran Church of Elbow Lake. Gail loved spending time at the family cabin on Eagle Lake, wintering in Arizona, traveling and playing bridge. She spent many hours tending to her beautiful flower gardens and cherished her time spent baking Christmas cookies with her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alda and Marian; mother and father-in-law, Roy and Alma Coleman; sister, Lila Bendt and sister-in-laws, Ruth Wyman and DeMaris Coleman. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Coleman of Elbow Lake; her four children, Jody (Leisha) Coleman of Elbow Lake, Diane (Greg) Anderson of Independence, MN, Deanna ( fiancé Scott Moellman) Coleman of Brainerd, MN and Tammy (Troy) Richards of Underwood, MN; eight grandchildren, Nick, Tayler, Sam, Hunter, Jack, Megan, Reese and Isaac; two great grandchildren, Lane and Laeken; a brother, Gary (Barb) Ripley; two sisters, Joyce (Robert) Otkin and Pat Steuck; two brothers-in-law, Sam Coleman and Robert Wyman; two sisters–in-law, Ione (Jim) Goff and Janice (Richard) Nagel along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Visitation: Wednesday, February 24, 2016, from 6- 8 P.M., with a 7:30 prayer service at the Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Elbow Lake and continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 25, 2016, at United Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake.
