David E. Nelson, age 64, of Elbow Lake, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Evansville Care Center. David Erwin Nelson was born August 30, 1952, the son of Erwin and Ella (Holte) Nelson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith, and graduated from the Fergus Falls High School in 1970.
David and Deanna Kvamme Lien were married on July 2, 1993. He drove semi for Mark Erlandson for a number of years. David enjoyed fishing, spending time at his lake lot on Lightening Lake and time on his computer. He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Deanna Nelson of Fergus Falls; two step-sons, Nick (Amanda) Kvamme, Tyler, Peyton and Brooke of St. Augusta, and Dustin (Tuyen) Lien, Jordan, Katrina and Dustin Jr. of Fargo; two sisters, Elida (Dean) Johnson of Evansville, and Nadine (Rodney) Finkelson of Dalton; and by numerous relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Ella Nelson.
