David Jacobson, 89 of Elbow Lake, Minnesota died Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Barrett Care Center.

David Roger Jacobson was born on April 4, 1936, the son of Herbert O. and Hilda A. (Jern) Jacobson. He was baptized and confirmed at Ebenezer Evangelical Lutheran Church by Leaf Valley and attended Rural School by Garfield.

David and Juanita May Householder were married on May 22, 1971, at United Lutheran church in Elbow Lake. The couple made their home in Elbow Lake. After his schooling he farmed until entering the Army. Following his discharge, he was employed with Mendelson Egg Company, then drove for Lloyd Christianson Milk Hauling, before starting with Cosmos Enterprises and then worked as a dishwasher first for Heartland Café and then Knotty Pine. He enjoyed the outdoors doing lawn work, raking and mowing and loved his dog, Rover.

He is survived by sons, Bill (Estella) Jacobson of Elbow Lake and Sam (Tracy) Johanson of Irondale, Alabama; brothers, Reuben (Harriet Walvatne) Jacobson of Fergus Falls, Laural (Arlys) Jacobson of Paynesville and Charles Jacobson of Coon Rapids; and by numerous family and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita (Edie) on January 14, 2014; sisters, Darlene (Olaf) Fromming, and Leonette Jacobson; brother, Kenny Jacobson; and sister-in-law, Jean Jacobson.

On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, there will be a visitation from 11 am to 1 pm at the Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Elbow Lake. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Elbow Lake.
