Adrian Roswold

Adrian Roswold, 87, passed away November 8, 2010, and was buried at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was born July 3, 1923, near Evansville, Minnesota, to Albert and Sadie (Nelson) Roswold. Adrian was baptized at Fryksande Lutheran Church, Evansville, by Rev. Erickson and confirmed at St. Petri Lutheran by Rev. H. B. Raun, Evansville. He attended grade school at District 44 and Evansville Public (1937). He graduated from Brandon High School (1941). Adrian entered the United States Navy in 1944, and was honorably discharged on July 23, 1946, as a Seaman Second Class. He returned to his parental home to farm with his brother Orville. He married Darline Sorensen. Adrian is survived by sister Mildred of Fergus Falls; cousins Roger Johnson, Evansville, and Marilyn Olson, Alexandria, and numerous other cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Darline, sister Marcella, and a brother Orville. A memorial service will be held at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Evansville on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Gran officiating.
